EXPERIENCE

 

          Teichert Law Office, P.C., Present

 

                        Building a land use, environmental law, and administrative law practice to represent private property owners, farmers, water and planning districts, real estate development companies, local governments, and other similarly situated individuals and entities. 

 

Budd-Falen Law Offices, P.C., 1998-2000

 

·        Wrote and filed the leading amicus curiae brief in support of successful petition for writ of certiorari; and later wrote leading amicus curiae brief on the merits to the United States Supreme Court in Public Lands Council v. Babbitt, Supreme Court No. 98-1991.

·        Participated in moot court session and several conferences to prepare lead counsel for oral argument in U.S. Supreme Court case.

·        Briefs Submitted to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits and various federal district courts and administrative tribunals.

·        Delivered several arguments in federal court.

·        Completed full state court trial.

·        Achieved $450,000 settlement with State of Washington for livestock killed in fire.

·        Often represented county governments.

·        Practice included rapidly evolving areas of law.

·        Significant experience with Fifth Amendment takings issues, National Environmental Policy Act, Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, Endangered Species Act, Taylor Grazing Act, Federal Lands Policy Amendments Act, Public Rangelands Improvement Act, and other law related to land use and public lands management.
